Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala's son Vikas gets bail in stalking case

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday granted bail to main accused Vikas Barala in Chandigarh stalking case.

According to a report inHindustan Times, call records proffered by Barala's lawyer showed Kundu wasn't in the city right before the incident on the intervening night of 4 August and 5 August past year.

Vikas Barla, 23, and his friend Ashish were arrested arrested for allegedly harassing daughter of an IAS officer in August.

"'The bail of Vikas Barala has been approved by Justice Lisa Gill", Vikas's counsel Vinod Ghai said here.

The HC had last month directed the district court to complete Kundu's cross-examination before January 11 when it had listed the bail plea for consideration. The incident had come to light when the 29-year-old woman called the police and complained that two men followed her in an SUV when she was driving in her auto from the Sector-8 market in Chandigarh towards her home in Panchkula.

After a recent look, we have noticed that the Piotroski F Score is sitting at 5 or above for Education Realty Trust Inc (EDR). Shares of Federal Realty Investment Trust ( FRT ) traded down $1.60 during midday trading on Wednesday, hitting $123.84.

Kundu's lawyer did not oppose the bail but said that the accused belongs to an influential family and could delay the trial and also try to influence witnesses, hence the bail be made time-bound.

The latest development comes a day after Varnika's cross-examination had concluded in the district courts in Chandigarh.

Barala had moved the high court in November, after a local court denied him bail for the fourth time. She also said that Barala and Kumar even approached her vehicle and attempted to get in.

The two men were arrested on the intervening night of August 4-5 past year following the complaint, but were released on bail as they were booked under bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act.

However, they were arrested again on 9 August and were then charged with attempted abduction under Sections 365 and 511 of the IPC.
