Donald trump is going to take part in the world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland, which will be held from 23 to 26 January.

Trump, who is likely to advance his "America First" agenda with world leaders at this year's WEF, would be the first sitting United States president to attend the high-profile summit since Bill Clinton in 2000.

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer will go with Trump, the people said.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be this year's keynote speaker, the first time an Indian premier has attended Davos since 1997.

"I don't think it is a hangout for globalists", Mnuchin insisted.
