Seal Trashes Oprah as 'Part of the Problem'

Oprah Winfrey listens in the East Room of the White House in Washington during a ceremony where President Barack Obama awarded Presidential Medals of Freedom. Faced with the presidential buzz surrounding Oprah Wi

The media mogul stormed the Golden Globes and delivered a rousing speech after accepting her Cecil B. DeMille Award award on Sunday (Jan 7).

According to Metro UK, singer Seal took to Instagram to voice his opinion on the matter, using a meme that insinuates Winfrey knew of Weinstein's alleged sexual misconduct.

Underneath was a second photo of the pair together, this time showing Oprah looking entirely disinterested in what Weinstein was had to say. Overlayed on the photos, in all-caps, is the text: "When you have been part of the problem for decades, but suddenly they all think you are the solution".

Winfrey has yet to respond to the allegations made by Seal. Oprah isn't the first star to be accused of turning a blind eye towards Weinstein's horrific behavior, but considering her recent speech, she certainly is one of the most surprising.

Moneygram soars after announcing Ripple partnership
Commenting on this, Alex Holmes, CEO of MoneyGram, said: ‎"Ripple is at the forefront of blockchain technology and we look forward to ‎piloting xRapid".

Oprah addressed the Weinstein sex scandal on her Facebook account late previous year, writing: "I've been processing the accounts of Harvey Weinstein's disgusting behavior and haven't been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation".

She admitted that she hadn't "been able to find the words to articulate the magnitude of the situation" before she thanked all the victims who had come forward. Love you even more now!

"Oprah is beyond doubt a magnificent orator", MacFarlane wrote.

The Twitter backlash was mostly defensive of Oprah; it blasted Seal for invoking Weinstein and drawing a parallel between him and a sexual assault survivor. "We don't want to create a world where dedicated public service careers become undesirable and impractical in the face of raw celebrity". "I also know that after years of watching The Oprah (Winfrey) Show you always have the right to change your mind".
