Jessica Falkholt has been taken off life support after being involved in a car accident that killed four others

Australian actress Jessica Falkholt's life support has been switched off more than a fortnight after a horror crash that killed her parents and younger sister.

The 29-year-old star had been left in critical condition following a Boxing Day auto crash that claimed the lives of her immediate family.

Lars and Vivian died at the scene of the crash while Annabelle, 21, was taken to Liverpool Hospital, and died of her injuries three days later on 29 December.

"He did the best he could and you couldn't ask anymore of him", his son Shane told Seven News.

"He was very private and didn't like people talking about him but the worst part is, he has grandkids that can read, that are listening to it", she said.
