Philippe Coutinho won't pursue January move to Barcelona on one condition

Liverpool's German manager Jurgen Klopp smiles on the pitch at the end of the UEFA Champions League Group E football match between Liverpool and Spartak Moscow at Anfield in Liverpool

The Brazilian playmaker was the subject of three transfer bids from Barcelona during the last summer transfer window - the biggest of which amounted to £114m ($153m) - but Liverpool remained adamant that he would not be sold for any price.

As quoted by Sports Witness, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have said that Rafinha is "seduced" by the idea of moving to England, Italy or Germany, with his club happy to receive €15-20m for his services.

Betis are lying in 11th position on the La Liga standings after 14 games and are looking to reinforce their side during the January transfer window.

Coutinho made no secret of his desire to join Barcelona in the summer, although Liverpool stayed firm and refused to sell.

Why John Boyega may miss the Last Jedi premiere
He's stranded in Atlanta, which unfortunately has come under (a very unexpected) six inches of snow. John Boyega's luck with pilots is, apparently, not quite as good as the character he plays.

Coutinho is under contract at Anfield until 2022 but his desire to seal a move to a side with a proven track record in Europe is well known.

It's pointed out this is what Javier Mascherano also did when he moved from Liverpool to Barcelona, but there's no concrete explanation of what Coutinho will do exactly. And I do not have a crystal ball, so I do not know what is going to happen. What will happen in January, we will know it in January.

The Reds rejected a £114million bid for the 25-year-old and Barcelona know they are likely to have to up their offer next month. I am at Liverpool and I always do my best when I have the opportunity to play, respecting the jersey and the supporters.

"As far as I'm concerned, the squad we have right now is the squad we will go into January with".
